A Little Bit About Me…

Well met and welcome! My name is Lola, and I am the witchy woman behind Speak of Secrets both here and on the SoS Facebook Page. I have long followed a path of earth-based spirituality, engaging in my Witchy Ways by way of natural instinct and ancestral knowledge. Recently deciding to commit to learning the whys of my intuitive ways, I have embarked upon exploring my spirituality to a deeper degree by way of participating in a more formalized ritual practice. Speak of Secrets is the very direct result of that, and it is here that I record my process and learnings, while engaging with others who also walk the Spiral Path.

While I am a Witch, I am not a Wiccan. Thought I work with deities, I do not practice a religion. My spiritual practice is one of progressing towards greater awareness, while honouring the divine which both surrounds and encompases us. Witchcraft, meditation, tarot, and herbalism are all tools I utilize to foster a deeper connection to myself and the world around me. I tailor my life according to the Wheel of the Year, celebrating those seasonal holy days, and some more well-known holidays besides. Gratitude and a reverence for the natural world is at the very heart of my practice, and in that spirit, I’d like to thank you for joining me here.

Speak of Secrets…

To speak our secrets is to share our knowledge, which is the main goal of this site! In sharing with each other, we foster an open discussion from which we all can learn and grow as individuals. For many lifetimes, those who practiced Witchy Ways or walked a path of Pagan Spirituality remained cloistered in secrecy due to the very real threat of not only discrimination, but excommunication, and even possible execution! How wonderful is it that there is newfound respect and interest for these ancient cultural arts and customs? Speak of Secrets is an open invitation to become involved in that discussion! We are always open to questions, comments, suggestions for site features or improvements, as well as hosting guest articles, so feel free to get in touch if there is something you’d like to share — we look forward to hearing from you!
